As I was Trick or Treating with my Son on Monday night, I noticed there were police officers manning the neighborhood where we go ever year.
They were handing out glow-sticks to the parents and children and driving through out the very popular neighborhood. In another neighborhood one of the Fire Truck goes through the neighborhood handing out candy with lights on. I imagine this happens in communities across the United States.
This is what community is about to me, having fun in my community and by our sides are First Responders showing us love and care when they could be awaiting a call for an emergency. This reminded me to say Thank You to our First Responders for being a part of our community during the difficult times and the fun times. We know what a high stress job this is in everyones community, take a moment to let them know you care with a simple Thank you.
